May 27, 2008 - Lincoln, NE (LifeNews.com) - A Nebraska Planned Parenthood has settled a lawsuit filed by a Nebraska woman after a botched abortion that resulted in the perforating of her uterus and a severe loss of blood. According to doctors who treated the woman after the failed abortion, the procedure could have taken her life.

After the botched abortion, physicians had to perform an emergency hysterectomy on her and she is now unable to have children. more

May 26 2008 - In a bizarre ruling last week, Advertising Standards Canada (ASC) rejected evidence from Statistics Canada and declared that pro-life billboards which said abortions are allowed in Canada throughout all nine months of pregnancy were "deceptive." more

February 2008 - US Court orders removal of feeding tube - Lauren Marie Richardson is a twenty-three year old woman who suffered an anoxic brain injury after an accident on August 28, 2006. Lauren's life is endangered by a recent court decision made by Master Sam Glasscock III, by which her feeding tube will be removed. As a disabled citizen, she is defenseless against the court-approved, imposed act of dehydration and starvation intended to cause her death. Lauren gave birth to a baby girl during this ordeal, and has not been allowed to see her child. This little baby girl needs a chance to know her mother. We appeal to each person with compassion and love to understand why we wish to bring Lauren home and care for her. Lauren's situation is greater than you can imagine. October 1, 2006 - Niagara Falls - Over 900 people gathered together on Lundys Lane to participate in the annual "Life Chain". For many years now, prolife groups from around the world mark this day in order to provide witness through their prayerful and peaceful  presence so that the victims of abortion are not forgotten. June 21, 2006 - Legislation to prohibit abortions in Canada on unborn children twenty weeks and older has been introduced in parliament. On June 21, Liberal MP Paul Steckle put forward Bill C-338, a private members' bill that would provide protection for older unborn babies. Steckle called on the House to debate the issue, noting that Canada is one of the only countries in the world with absolutely no protection for the unborn. May 11, 2006 - Thousands of Canadians, more than half of them youth, turned out for the Annual March for Life on Parliament Hill in Ottawa to peacefully protest abortion and to promote a culture of life. St. Catharines Right to Life participated again this year, bringing more than 60 youth to the March, and its surrounding events including the Pro-Life Rose Banquet and the Youth Conference. April 29, 2006 - "At a time when most people don't even think about abortion, it's important to keep the issue in the public's eye," said Jakki Jeffs, Executive Director of the Ontario Alliance for Life, speaking at the Welland Port-Colborne Pro-Life dinner on April 29. Jeffs is convinced that the Reaching Minds Through Media TV Ad campaign is an effective way to educate the public about abortion.
